HOME INSPECTIONS

A home inspection assesses the condition of your home and is much different from an appraisal that assesses the general value of the house and property. It’s important to have an inspection done on any house you are considering purchasing, even if you are buying a new home. Inspectors can spend hours telling you stories about the surprises they've discovered! A home inspection will diminish the uncertainty about the condition of the house you are looking to make a home. THE INSPECTION The Inspector will examine: the roofing, flashings, and chimneys the exterior of all parts of the home and garage the structure of the building the electrical system heating / cooling systems or heat pumps insulation plumbing other interior components such as doors.

CHOICE OF TWO DIFFERENT REPORTS

Home Reference Book - If you are able to accompany the Inspector to the home, and choose this report style, it will be provided to you immediately after the inspection. The Home Reference Book contains the results of your inspection along with hundreds of pages of comprehensive yet easy to understand general information about home structures and equipment. Horizon Report – This report is best suited for clients unable to attend the inspection as pictures can be added. However, clients who attend the inspection can also choose this report, in which case a "Bottom Line" summary report is printed on-site and presented the client. This one to two page report shows any major deficiencies that were uncovered. The client has the information in hand if a decision is required before the next day. The full report can usually be completed and Emailed before midnight on the same day. (See sample in PDF format)
